Sharjah: Alubond Tigers team are on a winning spree in the Sharjah Cricket Council tournaments. In the Al Dhaid 25-over tournament Alubond Tigers recorded an emphatic seven wicket win over strong Multiplex Internationals team to reach the semi-final of the tournament.

In the Sharjah T-20 Bash being held at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Alubond defeated Mir Cricket Club by 43 runs. Alubond has thus extended their winning run following their two runs over Defenders Cricket Club in the first match.

The Sharjah T-20 Bash is producing exciting contests with Bukhatir XI securing an eight-wicket win over UBL. The formidable UBL were bowled out for a paltry 64 runs in 15 overs. If not for their Mohmamad Naveed’s fighting 30 runs, UBL would have not even crossed 50 runs. For Bukhatir XI, Mohammad Asaf was the chief wrecker taking three wickets in his three overs giving away just four runs. Bukhatir XI won in 8.3 overs.

Alubond’s star in the Al Dhaid 25 over tournament was Sultan Ahmad. He took three wickets for 33 runs to restrict Multiplex to 176 for 7. Alubond won the match riding on Abdul Shukoor’s 66 off 36 balls.

One Stop Tourism will face Multiplex International, Alubond will then take on Mir CC in a battle to reach the final.

Alubond won over Mir Club through an unbeaten 60 from Amjad Gul. It helped Alubond post 178 for 7 and restrict Mir Club to 135 in 20 overs.
