GLAAD hosted its 5th Annual GLAAD + Ty Herndon Concert for Love and Acceptance, presented by CMT, Ketel One Family-Made Vodka and Southwest, a press release noted. RuPaul's Drag Race held its first "For Your Consideration" ( FYC ) event, Deadline noted. Icon Doris Day's death on May 13 has opened a rift between family and friends who accuse one another of mistreating the star, Page Six noted. Her only grandchild, Ryan Melcher, issued a Facebook post claiming Day's longtime manager, Bob Bashara, had banned him from seeing his reclusive grandmother, who was 97 when she died. Writers/creators Kyle David Pierce and Chris Salvatore have a new series in development centering around a gay male couple in their 30s, a press release announced. The acting duo star in the series that takes a fresh look at gay marriage, parenting, and when two families collide. "The double entendre title is ironic but goes to the heart of the message that gay relationships are honest and evolving," Pierce remarked at a recent photo shoot. "This show is important and empowering for gay men; to see our relationships reflected on screen," Salvatore added.
Sister Rita Callanan endured quite a year after a court battle with Katy Perry over her order's Los Angeles conventa fight that, she said, has left her nearly paralyzed, penniless and homeless, Page Six reported. Callananthe only surviving sister of the Order of the Most Holy and Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Maryalso said the singer has "blood on her hands." Perry had bought the convent in 2015, from the Los Angeles archdiocese, for $14.5 million in cash. However, the nuns claimed that only they had the right to sell the eight-acre property, having pooled their money together to purchase it in 1972. In 2016, a judge declared the nuns' sale invalid, and a jury awarded Perry and the archdiocese damages totaling more than $15 million.

When Ghostbusters 3 arrives in theaters next summer, Sigourney Weaver will be along for the ride, Deadline noted. Attorneys for Harvey Weinstein's former film studio and for a group of women who say the disgraced film producer sexually assaulted them told a federal judge in Manhattan that a settlement agreement with the embattled producer's accusers is "imminent," Page Six noted. News that Weinstein, his accusers, board members from the Weinstein Cos. and the New York attorney general's office were working out the terms of a $44-million settlementof which $30 million would go to Weinstein's accusers and which would be paid largely with insurance moneywas revealed last month in a Delaware bankruptcy court.
On the heels of the season-four debut of Lucifer, Netflix has picked up a fifth season of the comic-book drama, which will be its last, Deadline noted. Lucifer started on Fox, which canceled it after three seasons. Netflix rescued the series, extending its run by two seasons. Buoyed by strong fan support, which made Lucifer the top trending topic worldwide on the day of its May 2018 cancellation, series producer Warner Bros. TV shopped the series to steaming services and premium cable networks.

CD Projekt Red has unveiled a new trailer for Cyberpunk 2077which ends with an appearance from Keanu Reeves, Engadget noted. The game is an open-world adventure set in a fictional metropolis called Night City. It's a loose adaptation, or continuation, of the Cyberpunk board game and its sequel, Cyberpunk 2020, which were released in 1988 and 1990, respectively. The movie will be out April 26, 2020.
