On June 8, international superstar Celine Dion took the final bow of her 16-year Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, a press release noted. In March 2003, Celine Dion forever premiered her first residency, A New Day…, which played 717 shows from March 25, 2003 through Dec. 15, 2007. On March 15, 2011, returned to Caesars Palace with her second residency, Celine, which played 424 shows. Now, Dion will embark on her Courage World Tour, kicking off Sept. 18 in Quebec City and stopping in more than 50 cities across the United States and Canada; see CelineDion.com .

GLAAD hosted its 5th Annual GLAAD + Ty Herndon Concert for Love and Acceptance, presented by CMT, Ketel One Family-Made Vodka and Southwest, a press release noted. Herndon and CMT's Cody Alan co-hosted the concert, which took place at the Wildhorse Saloon during CMA Fest in Nashville. Performers included Daugherty, Rita Wilson, Gavin DeGraw and Hunter Hayes; backstage, iconic country couple Faith Hill and Tim McGraw. Chely Wright, Harper Grae, Tayla Lynn, Billy Gilman, Brody Ray, Brandon Stansell and Antigone Rising also appeared and/or performed, among others.

Actor/comedian Marlon Wayans posted love to his daughter, saying, "Happy pride to my pride and joy, I wouldn't change one effing thing about you. Love you to the moon around the sun through the galaxies and back again," ABC News noted. And when someone noted his daughter's age ( 19 ) and questioned her ability to understand sexuality, Wayans shot back; "Love her for her not what i want her to b."

The Telemundo telenovela La Reina Del Sur ( Queen of the South ) recently aired an episode revealing that one of its main characters, Alejandro Alcala —the intelligent and well-composed campaign manager for a Mexican presidential candidate—is gay and in a closeted relationship with Danilo Marquez, an athletic architect and interior designer, LGBTQ Nation noted. La Reina del Sur is Telemundo's most successful telenovela and "narco novela" ( drug dealer drama ). It is also the only narco novela to feature a female drug lord.

RuPaul's Drag Race held its first "For Your Consideration" ( FYC ) event, Deadline noted. With season 11 contestants Nina West and Plastique Tiarra as emcees, the show started with a video introduction by RuPaul, followed by a performance of from the top five queens of the season: Vanessa Vanjie Mateo, Silky Nutmeg Ganache, A'Keria C. Davenport, Brooke Lynn Hytes and winner Yvie Oddly. Then, judges Michelle Visage and Carson Kressley took the stage with Emmy-winning costume designer Zaldy Goco and various executive producers to discuss the show.

Avicii's surviving parents, friends and collaborators decided to share his final vision with fans, and careful consideration of his lyrics, musical footprints and notes left behind have led to Tim—the 12-track posthumous album title after Avicii's true name, Billboard reported. Avicii's ( real name: Tim Bergling ) song "Levels" was an instant classic, followed by cross-genre Hot 100 hits "Wake Me Up," "Hey Brother," "SOS" and more. The new album features collaborations from Avicii regulars Aloe Blacc and Vargas & Lagola as well as Imagine Dragons and Arizona.

Madonna has unveiled her new video for "Dark Ballet," Rolling Stone noted. It's the fifth and final preview that will be released from her forthcoming Madame X, due June 14. The six-minute cinematic clip stars Mykki Blanco, who portrays Joan of Arc.

iHeartMedia announced the lineup for its 2019 iHeartRadio Music Festival, to be held Sept. 20-21 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Variety noted. The event will feature performances by Alicia Keys, Cage The Elephant, Camila Cabello, Chance The Rapper, Def Leppard, French Montana, Halsey, Heart, H.E.R., Miley Cyrus, Mumford & Sons, Tim McGraw, Zac Brown Band and more. Ryan Seacrest will host for the ninth time.

Miley Cyrus has partnered with Marc Jacobs and her own Happy Hippie Foundation on a limited-edition $175 pink hoodie, all proceeds for which benefit Planned Parenthood, Page Six noted. The sweatshirt features a topless image of Cyrus holding two strategically placed grapefruit halves over her chest, along with the words, "Don't F—k With My Freedom"—lyrics from her new single "Mother's Daughter"—and a nod to the organization.

Actors Wes Studi and Geena Davis as well as directors David Lynch and Lina Wertmuller are the winners of the 11th Annual Governors Awards ( honorary Oscars ), Page Six reported. Davis will receive her second Oscar, this time as recipient of the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award. The ceremony will be Sunday, Oct. 27, at the Roy Dolby Ballroom.

Denzel Washington received the American Film Institute ( AFI ) Life Achievement Award on June 7, Deadline noted. In doing so, he became only the third African American ( after Morgan Freeman and Sidney Poitier ) to ever receive it. AFI Conservatory graduate Melina Matsoukas, an African-American director, received the other big honor of the evening: the 29th Franklin J. Schaffner Alumni Medal. Jennifer Hudson came out mid-show to sing "A Change Is Gonna Come," and received a rousing standing ovation.

Icon Doris Day's death on May 13 has opened a rift between family and friends who accuse one another of mistreating the star, Page Six noted. Her only grandchild, Ryan Melcher, issued a Facebook post claiming Day's longtime manager, Bob Bashara, had banned him from seeing his reclusive grandmother, who was 97 when she died. In addition, Day's close friends have painted a lonely picture of her last days.

Forbes has reported that Rihanna is now the richest female musician in the world, with a fortune totaling $600 million, Page Six noted. She is estimated to own 15 percent of her famously inclusive Fenty Beauty brand, which has reportedly raked in $570 million in sales since its launch in September 2017. The "Diamonds" singer has also got her Savage x Fenty lingerie line, which she co-owns with TechStyle Fashion Group. And last month, she further expanded her empire with the launch of her much-anticipated luxury label with LVMH.

Orange Is the New Black/The Handmaid's Tale co-star Samira Wiley revealed that she and wife Lauren Morelli are keeping their options open as far as children are concerned, US Magazine reported. "There's always talk about our future, and we'll just have to see where our life leads us," the Emmy winner, said of her marriage with the series writer while walking the red carpet at the 2019 Tony Awards. They married in March 2017.

Costume designer/stylist June Ambrose apologized after seeing made a major faux pas at the CFDA Awards by asking one attendee if the late Kate Spade would be accompanying her, Page Six noted. The following day ( June 4 ), Ambrose tweeted, "I sincerely apologize to the family and friends of the late Kate Spade, in addition to the team at Kate Spade for having misspoken. I made a mistake and I'm sorry to those I offended."

Recently appearing on The Ellen Show to talk about her upcoming Apple series opposite Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston was ( of course ) asked about a Friends reunion, Cinema Blend noted. Aniston responded, "Okay. Why not? Listen, I told you this. I would do it. ... The girls would do it, and the boys would do it, I'm sure. Listen, anything could happen."

Writers/creators Kyle David Pierce and Chris Salvatore have a new series in development centering around a gay male couple in their 30s, a press release announced. The acting duo star in the series that takes a fresh look at gay marriage, parenting, and when two families collide. "The double entendre title is ironic but goes to the heart of the message that gay relationships are honest and evolving," Pierce remarked at a recent photo shoot. "This show is important and empowering for gay men; to see our relationships reflected on screen," Salvatore added.

Sister Rita Callanan endured quite a year after a court battle with Katy Perry over her order's Los Angeles convent—a fight that, she said, has left her nearly paralyzed, penniless and homeless, Page Six reported. Callanan—the only surviving sister of the Order of the Most Holy and Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary—also said the singer has "blood on her hands." Perry had bought the convent in 2015, from the Los Angeles archdiocese, for $14.5 million in cash. However, the nuns claimed that only they had the right to sell the eight-acre property, having pooled their money together to purchase it in 1972. In 2016, a judge declared the nuns' sale invalid, and a jury awarded Perry and the archdiocese damages totaling more than $15 million.

Virgil Abloh is once again being accused of knocking off the work of an up-and-coming designer, Page Six noted. He attended the 2019 CFDA Awards in New York City with supermodel Gigi Hadid—but social-media user Shelby Ivey Christie tweeted a photo of the model alongside a look from New York-based designer Peter Do, writing, "I'm not even gonna say it. You see it. Peter Do FW19 from January on the right…"

Country legend Tanya Tucker returns after 17 years, according to a press release. Tucker's new album, While I'm Livin', is set for release Aug. 23 via Fantasy Records. Produced by Brandi Carlile and Shooter Jennings, the album marks Tucker's first for the label and her first new material since 2002's Tanya. The first single off the new album is "The Wheels of Laredo."

When Ghostbusters 3 arrives in theaters next summer, Sigourney Weaver will be along for the ride, Deadline noted. The actress confirmed she'll join co-stars Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd in the sequel, as she reprises her role as cellist Dana Barrett. The new movie is being helmed by Jason Reitman—son of original director Ivan Reitman.

Marc Anthony is set to star in the movie adaptation of Lin-Manuel Miranda's Tony-winning musical In the Heights, according to a Billboard item that cited The Hollywood Reporter. Set in New York's Washington Heights, the film, to be directed by John M. Chu, will center on a bodega owner who has mixed feelings about closing his store and retiring to the Dominican Republic after inheriting his grandmother's fortune.

Attorneys for Harvey Weinstein's former film studio and for a group of women who say the disgraced film producer sexually assaulted them told a federal judge in Manhattan that a settlement agreement with the embattled producer's accusers is "imminent," Page Six noted. News that Weinstein, his accusers, board members from the Weinstein Cos. and the New York attorney general's office were working out the terms of a $44-million settlement—of which $30 million would go to Weinstein's accusers and which would be paid largely with insurance money—was revealed last month in a Delaware bankruptcy court.

On the heels of the season-four debut of Lucifer, Netflix has picked up a fifth season of the comic-book drama, which will be its last, Deadline noted. Lucifer started on Fox, which canceled it after three seasons. Netflix rescued the series, extending its run by two seasons. Buoyed by strong fan support, which made Lucifer the top trending topic worldwide on the day of its May 2018 cancellation, series producer Warner Bros. TV shopped the series to steaming services and premium cable networks.

Lisa Vanderpump received the Legacy Award at the seventh annual "Real to Reel: Portrayals and Perceptions of LGBTs in Hollywood" event—and told Extra why she has quit The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She said, "The last year was a very negative year for me. I feel like we're moving forward. They have had their resolution. I just had a horrible time with the show and the women. It was a very sad time in my life and it wasn't made any better. I just decided to walk away."

CD Projekt Red has unveiled a new trailer for Cyberpunk 2077—which ends with an appearance from Keanu Reeves, Engadget noted. The game is an open-world adventure set in a fictional metropolis called Night City. It's a loose adaptation, or continuation, of the Cyberpunk board game and its sequel, Cyberpunk 2020, which were released in 1988 and 1990, respectively. The movie will be out April 26, 2020.
