Middlesbrough FC’s international stars have now joined up with their national squads ahead of a busy schedule over the coming days.

Cristhian Stuani heads a list of Boro players jetting off across Europe and beyond over the international break.

Stuani - who started Boro’s 1-0 win over Hull City on Friday - has joined up with the Uruguay squad ahead of a 2018 World Cup qualification double-header.

Óscar Tabárez’s side - boosted by the return of FC Barcelona striker Luis Suarez after serving a nine-match ban for biting - face Brazil in the early hours of Saturday morning (00:45 GMT), followed by a home game against Peru next Wednesday morning (00:00 GMT).

That game comes less than 72 hours before Stuani is expected back on Teesside, ahead of Boro’s away match at QPR on Friday evening.

Defender Dael Fry has been named in England’s Under-19s squad and could play three matches for the Young Lions in the Elite Round of the UEFA U19s European Championship in south-west Spain.

Fry could come up against Georgia, Greece and Spain - with the final match against Spain scheduled for next Tuesday.

January recruit Julien de Sart has linked up with Belgium’s Under-21s for the upcoming matches against Moldova and Montenegro.

But first-team pair Tomas Kalas and Albert Adomah have not been called up to the Czech Republic or Ghana squads, so will remain on Teesside.

In the Academy, Lewis Maloney could feature for Northern Ireland’s Under-21s against Scotland next Tuesday, while Bryn Morris - on loan at Walsall - is in the England Under-20s squad to face Canada on Sunday at Doncaster’s Keepmoat Stadium.

In-form striker Arnel Jakupovic, who missed Boro Under-21s’ 1-0 defeat to Sunderland last night, is likely to play for Austria’s Under-19s against Slovakia, Romania and Czech Republic.
