It's one of the biggest showbiz events on the calendar so it's perhaps little wonder that a host of celebrities emerged from the one of the after parties, held at Chiltern Firehouse looking bleary-eyed on Sunday night.
Ruth Wilson, 36 Felicity Jones, 34, Lily James, 28 and Nicholas Hoult, also 28, were all pictured with a series of hilarious expressions on their faces as they emerged into the night.
Actress Ruth walked along the street with her eyes closed, wearing a black bra under a semi-sheer blouse and black suit. Her hair was tousled as she navigated her way through the street.

Janney, who picked up her gong for her role in I, Tonya, didn't seem to mind the feel of the cold stone under her feet as she made her way from the across the sidewalk and street to her waiting limousine.
Best Actor Gary Oldman, 59, was also in high spirits as he was pictured leaving a separate post-awards party, held at Chiltern Firehouse, with his bow-tie undone.

The star's decision to ditch her footwear revealed that she had colored her toe nails with polish to match her black dress.
The full-length number had mostly covered her shoes as she walked the red carpet at the British awards show earlier in the evening although the slit in the back of her designer number did give a glimpse of how high her heels were.
The sandals were so high her feet were held in a very arched position no doubt causing a degree of pain after several hours of standing.

Janney used her acceptance speech at the BAFTAs to own up to the fact that she did not, as she may have given the impression over the years, graduate from the Royal Academy of the Dramatic Arts in London.
But she did complete a two-week summer program there that had imbued in her a love for the theatre.
Speaking backstage, she acknowledged that her fellow nominees were also aged 45 or over and that this indicated that the tide is turning with more roles being created for older actresses in Hollywood.
Meanwhile, they were both nominated in the top acting categories at the glittering awards show.
But despite missing out on the coveted prizes, Saoirse Ronan and Jamie Bell were celebrating in style at the Grey Goose BAFTA after-party on Sunday, partying into the night with their fellow nominees and winners.

A host of celebrities later headed to the Chiltern Firehouse, including Sir Mick Jagger and Alexa Chung.
Cressida Bonas and Minnie Driver were also present and Salma Hayek also arrived with her husband Francois, wearing a beautiful embellished dress by Gucci.
