Could she be the world's youngest Oscar winner? Rising star Brooklynn Prince, 7, is tipped for success after The Florida Project debut... as she steals the hearts of Hollywood with witty charm and acting prowess

She is just seven years old, but is already tipped for Oscar success following her breakout role in new movie The Florida Project.

And after bursting onto the movie scene, Brooklynn Prince has stolen the hearts of some of Hollywood's best talents thanks to her witty charm, confidence beyond her years and acting prowess.

The youngster has been chasing her acting dreams since she was two years old, first starting out in commercials before making it onto the big screen, and has now found herself rubbing shoulders with the likes of Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot and Star Wars' John Boyega.

Brooklynn has found herself catapulted into the spotlight, thanks to her efforts in Sean Baker's new movie The Florida Project which tells the story of a group of misfit kids living in a low-cost motel just a stone's throw away from Disney World.

The starlet takes on the leading role of six-year-old Moonee, a young girl living with her mother who 'courts mischief and adventure' with her friends. She features in almost every scene in the film and became known on set for avidly eating in scenes and her witty improvisation.

Given free rein in some of her scenes, Prince revealed in an interview with Vulture that she was allowed to 'say what she wanted' on camera and was only given a handful of scripted lines at a time.

And her endearing spirit shone through as she recalled eating '45 ice cream cones' in one scene, as she thought to make the most of the sweet treat on being told it would be taken away from her once the scene had wrapped.

Asked if she was left with a stomach ache after her solid efforts, Brooklynn defiantly shook her head no in response.

Avidly listing just some of the delights she was treated to on set while she was in character, Brooklyn said: 'I had waffles. I had an omelette... cake — wait, no. Okay, and then I did pancakes, a breakfast sandwich, onion rings, a hamburger, bacon, maple syrup, pancakes, crepes, maple syrup...'

Director Baker joked to Entertainment Tonight that the young star had milked her eating scenes, including a brunch scene at the end of the movie, adding: 'She loves to eat. I mean, she gets a real joy out of eating!'

Holding an evident love for food, the young starlet recently revealed she relaxes on set by eating sweets, and by meditating - in a confession far older than her years.

She told the Daily Mail: 'I’ve been doing this for five years now so it only takes me a couple of hours to learn lines – my brain is used to it now, and kinda sucks in the words.

‘I relax on breaks by eating candy but sometimes, after a big day, I just meditate. It really helps me to relax and settle down. I mediate, or maybe take a nap.

‘My mum gets to pick what I wear and my dad approves everything, but I always like it too. I picked my own outfit the other day which is cool, and I love shops like H&M and Zara.'

At just seven years old, she went on to gush of her idols in the industry - who span a wide range of ages and styles in the acting world.

Aspirations: At just seven years old, Brooklynn also revealed her idols in the industry range from Helen Mirren to Elle Fanning and Emma Watson

She said: ‘I have met some amazing people, and recently met Helen Mirren who is the sweetest woman you could ever meet. She is so beautiful and so nice and sweet, but I haven’t actually seen any of her movies and my dad had to tell me who she was.

‘But I had just met Elle Fanning, who I love, and was more excited by that even though my dad said Helen Mirren is probably the best actress in the world. It might sound crazy but my dream role would be to play Emma Watson’s daughter.'

Brooklynn has been heavily tipped to win at Oscar, thanks to a particularly convincing upset at the end of The Florida Project.

In a particularly emotional scene in the movie, Baker recalled how the little girl immersed herself in her character and gave a stellar performance while sobbing her heart out.

The film producer recalled: 'I knew at that moment she was really gonna try, but then when we rolled the camera and she started crying… we were behind the camera just in awe.

'As soon as she wrapped that scene up I was desperate to yell cut because I couldn’t watch her any longer crying like this.'

Discussing the prospect of the gong, Brooklynn admitted she would be 'honoured' to receive such an award, and would want to celebrate at home with her family.

She told the Daily Mail of her blossoming career: ‘There’s not a day that goes by where I think, ‘Aaaagh, I’ve got to do press today’ or ‘Oh no, I’m on set’; it’s just the greatest experience.

‘It’s all in God’s hands but if I got an Oscar, I’d be so, so happy. I’d have a big party with all my family and my whole house would be filled with everything to celebrate.

‘Growing up, I have always watched the Oscars and always wondered what the actors felt when they had their name called, or how they feel to win. But I would still be incredibly honoured if I only got a nomination.’

Prince first started out acting when she was two years old. She landed her first job for Parenting Magazine where she was enlisted for a modelling shoot, before going on to bag a role in a commercial for Chuck E. Cheese.

Since then, the budding actress has found herself walking the same circles as Hollywood's elite and as a self-confessed superhero fanatic, Brooklynn was delighted to finally meet Gal Gadot - the star of Wonder Woman.
