The Los Angeles Online Film Critics Society Mid-Season Film Award Winners.

LOS ANGELES, CA, USA, July 3, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The Los Angeles Online Film Critics Society Mid-Season Film Award Winners.

Over the weekend, the members of the Los Angeles Online Film Critics Society voted on the winners for their Mid-Season film awards. There were ten different categories which highlighted several films that were released from January 1, 2018 to June 30, 2018. The winners in each category were incredibly close with A Quiet Place, Black Panther, and Hereditary leading the way with two wins each.

Best Adapted Screenplay:

Winner: Paddington 2 - Paul King & Simon Farnaby

Runner-Up: Annihilation - Alex Garland

Best Original Screenplay:

Winner: A Quiet Place - Bryan Woods, Scott Beck, and John Krasinski

Runner-Up: Tully - Diablo Cody

Best Supporting Actor:

Winner: Alex Wolff - Hereditary

Runner-Up: Michael B. Jordan - Black Panther

Best Supporting Actress:

Winner: Millicent Simmonds - A Quiet Place

Runner-Up: Letitia Wright - Black Panther

Best Actor:

Winner: Ethan Hawke - First Reformed

Runner-Up: Joaquin Phoenix - You Were Never Really Here

Best Actress:

Winner: (Tie)

Toni Collette – Hereditary
Charlize Theron - Tully

Runner-Up: Emily Blunt - A Quiet Place

Best Female Director:

Winner: Lynne Ramsey - You Were Never Really Here

Runner-Up: Chloe Zhao - The Rider

Best Male Director:

Winner: Ryan Coogler - Black Panther

Runner Up: John Krasinski - A Quiet Place

Best Picture:

Winner: Black Panther

Most Anticipated Film for the Second Half of 2018:
